As we worked to support each other, exchange ideas and envision the future, a collaboration was sparked that has made all of our efforts stronger and more intentional.”

Held at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY, May 18 through the 20th, the Yoga Service Council is a way for individuals to connect, share and learn so more people who wouldn’t normally be able to experience yoga can be served. Connect with them on Facebook to stay in the know.

The very cool, clear and collected Derek Beres, Creative Director for Tadasana Festival made it to the Buzz Bus for an interview just as the last drum beats in Shiva Rea’s class were sounding the end of what is only a new beginning for he and his team. What did he say when I asked him how he felt after three amazing days of music, community and dialogue?

the OBJECTIVE:

the ASSIGNMENT:

In order to be eligible, you must do the following:

This could possibly be my favorite interview of the whole festival. One – because I get so inspired by talking with empowered women who have stepped into their truth. Nothing quite like it. I feel that way everytime I talk to my mom. Two – Parashakti  turned the tables on me in the middle of the interview, asked me to declare my intention and then after the interview did a clearing on me (see picture below).  About two weeks have gone by and I am now posting this interview as a part of the Tadasana Talks series and I can very honestly say that the work we did together in those moments is still resonating in my mind, body and spirit. I am so grateful to Parashakti for recognizing my need to be affirmed in that moment.

Tommy Rosen finally made it to the Buzz Bus to hang out with #WIMG and brought his amazing wife, partner and Goddess, Kia Miller to share their journey together towards this thing called, Tadasana. Kia openly comments that she was strongly against this at first, but has now been converted! Tommy talks about how the building, promoting and managing of this festival has showed him many things about his relationship with stress and given him new tools moving forward as new challenges and obstacles arise in life, as they always do.

This week, our guests include Terri Cooper of 305 Yoga Gangsters and Bo Forbes of Elemental Yoga. Both of these ladies have so much to offer outside of mainstream yoga classes and we can’t wait to talk to them about their passions, yoga, outreach, the elusive brain, body knowledge and more!

Terri Cooper is the Founder and Owner of 305 Yoga Outreach and President of 305 Yoga Gangsters, a non-profit organization that utilizes yoga and its community to empower humanitarian initiatives. Check out this video for a portion of a class Terri held with a group of Miami teens.

During the second half of the show, we’ll be talking to Bo Forbes, yoga teacher, integrative yoga therapist, and clinical psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience in mind-body healing. Andrea Brook, may have been the stage manager for Tadasana Festival, but that is just one of the many hats she wears, and she is one amazing earth loving, Renaissance going, coaching pro of a Yogi. She caught up with Jess of Where Is My Guru on The Buzz Bus and gave us the inside scoop on the largest stringed instrument in the world—the Earth Harp—which was literally played over a valley with 1000 ft. strings straddling the earth. Listen as she explains how this fairly new instrument—circa 2000—is played, what it sounds like, and how your energy will react when the tones vibrate through your body, lifting and transmuting your spirit.

Listen as he talks about what it took to see the event come to fruition, how he feels about seeing the incredible tribe of people come together at the end, and his theories behind that tribe receiving information from the universe and converging.
